Certification
There are two routes to obtaining ISO certification, either accredited certification or non-accredited certification. CCP-ISO provide services for, and work with the leading certification bodies, in both.
ISO certification is a seal of approval from an external body that any organisation complies to one of the ISO management systems. Certification can be used to tender for business, as a proof of your organisation’s credibility, and to instil confidence in your organisation for a potential client.
For many businesses, non-accredited is enough and enables them to achieve the benefits of ISO certification without the additional expense of accredited certification.
Both certifications will provide you with the same management system, and the only difference is who certificates you, and how.
This choice is yours, but as a rule of thumb, be guided by your clients and what your competitors are doing.
Accredited certifiers: these certification bodies are assessed and accredited by national accreditation bodies such as UKAS in the UK, INAB in Ireland and DAkkS in Germany, all are aligned to and signatories of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
These bodies are only able to audit your management system and are unable to offer any auditing consultancy or support, make recommendations, or advise on opportunities for improvement. This is why consultants like CCP-ISO are often needed to support organisations through the accredited certification route.
Non-Accredited certifiers: are not assessed or accredited by any national accreditation body. But they do however offer third-party verification of your management system, and will adhere to ISO 17025 auditing guidelines as determined by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)
Both forms of certification through CCP-ISO will be charged directly by the certificating body of your choosing.
